3D Learning Experts specialize in providing support to children, teens & adults with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia, virtually anywhere in the USA.
What makes our online tutoring program different? We teach our students differently than how they are taught in school,which are obviously not the ideal method for your child to successfully learn. Your child will practice multi-sensory techniques which will allow them to use all three learning styles into their lessons: auditory, visual and kinesthetic (touch). Repetition and positive reinforcement every step of the way. This is not a quick fix, rather a systematic, multi-sensory approach to learning, that your child can relate to and understand, which in turn, brings amazing results. Unlike traditional Language arts tutoring, our Orton-Gillingham based program ensure that connections are made to support language-based learning going forward to enable improved reading, writing, spelling and verbal communication.
Many of our students, who are at least two years behind when they start working with us, seeimprovement the first month or two. Most of our students have memory issues that require a minimum of two sessions per week, minimum. The more sessions they attend weekly, the quicker progress is expected. Within twelve months, many of our younger students are caught up or ahead of their peers, within two to three years most of our younger students are reading on grade level and our older students are reading on a high school reading level!
Reading & Spelling Tutoring With our scientifically-proven methodology, we are able to improve their language-based learning skills in areas including, but not limited to: reading, reading comprehension, spelling, writing, and verbal communication. Our services are on a one-on-one basis, incorporating Orton-Gillingham based techniques that are delivered by our tutors specially trained in our methodology. Math Tutoring We teach math using concrete concepts our students understand and hands on instruction. Focusing on closing up the gaps. We use several multi-sensory approaches to teach foundational math, specifically to the needs of a Dyslexic & Dyscalculic student. We cover addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, money & more, up trough Pre-Algebra. We start where the student needs help.
Writing Tutoring We use techniques that build on themselves to teach note-taking skills and show our students how to develop a writing style and structure that they will utilize for years to come.
Executive Functioning Tutoring Executive Functioning skills are critical to success at school, and only grow in importance through adulthood. Our goal is for students to build habits so that they consistently and independently implement the Executive Functioning strategies we introduce.
How does remote tutoring work? We teach 30 or 50 minutes sessions, at least two times per week using multi-sensory, Orton-Gillingham based systems.
Students will work on:
Developing self esteem
Teaching techniques that lock in information
Improving reading
Teaching multi-sensory spelling
Continually testing comprehension
Sight word tricks
and much more.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS TO START TUTORING?
Step One: Schedule a Free 30 minute discovery call with Jess. Step Two: Schedule a Student Intake screening in one area (Language Arts or math) to determine if our tutoring services will help, what program is ideal for you or your child and create a personalized tutoring plan. If you are seeking services in Math and Language Arts, two separate screenings are necessary and we give a $50 discount. Step Three: Select your tutoring days and times based on availability.
