Do you customize your program to suit each student's needs?
Certainly, we tailor our program to align with the specific needs of each student. This personalization is established through the initial parent consultation, student screening, and observations made by our tutors.
Where is tutoring offered?
As of March 18th, 2020, we only providing online tutoring. We have been offering this service since 2016, however, we are finding that the program is very successful via virtual learning for 90% of students (even ones with ADHD) and now we can help students all over the country succeed.
What is the difference between in-person and remote tutoring?
The distinction between the two tutoring approaches is minimal. In the case of remote students, they meet on an engaging virtual tutoring platform where both students and tutors have shared control. Students find enhanced concentration online compared to in-person sessions due to the comfort and tranquility of their familiar surroundings.
How often does a student need to be tutored?
Consistency is a key factor for achieving success. Optimal results are observed when students engage in two or more sessions per week, facilitating effective retention of the imparted knowledge. Given that individuals we work with often grapple with memory challenges, reinforcing information becomes essential for successful learning. Session duration can be flexible, ranging from 15, 30 or 45 minute session, depending on factors such as the student's attention span, age, desired pace of progress, and the extent of Dyscalculia severity and presence of Autism and severe ADHD.
What type of math do you teach?
We teach addition, subtraction, money, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, less than, greater than and telling time, pre-Algebra, Algebra1, Algebra2, Geometry and pre-Calculus.
How soon can we expect to notice improvements?
The timeline varies for each individual, yet generally, fundamental math skills can be acquired within 3 to 6 months. For most students, mastering multiplication can take as little as 4 hours. Furthermore, with our guidance, students typically advance to high school-level math proficiency within 2 to 3 years.
Does 3D Learning Experts offer a guarantee?
While we cannot assure universal success for all students through our program, our comprehensive intake procedure generally allows us to determine the program's suitability for prospective clients before enrollment. Our foremost objective is to bolster your child's self-confidence and equip them with the necessary skills for successful reading. If noticeable progress is not evident within the first 90 days, we will promptly inform you, providing the option to either proceed or discontinue our services at that juncture.
What is the process to start tutoring?
Step 1::Schedule a 30 minute consultation with our director, who will discuss your child’s struggles, your goals for your child, and our program options. Step 2:Schedule a New Student Math Evaluation appointment to determine a starting point for your child's personalized tutoring plan. Step 3:Your child begins their tutoring journey their specialized tutor. In a short span, you'll witness a remarkable surge in your child's confidence, swiftly followed by noticeable enhancements in math abilities.
What does the student evaluation appointment include?
The math evaluation provides a chance to assess our new student's learning style, current knowledge, areas of challenge, and strengths. Our approach begins with foundational concepts, encompassing addition, placement, and shapes. Progressively, we ascend through successive grade levels. Tailored to the student's age and proficiency, the evaluation may potentially encompass topics reaching up through elementary school math. The assessment concludes if screener identifies that the math level becomes overly challenging for the student. We make sincere efforts to ensure the evaluation process remains as stress-free as possible.
