Koala Requirements and Troubleshooting Fact

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Below are the recommended browser by Koala GO for different devices:

• Mac - Google Chrome
  
• PC -  Google Chrome
  
• iPad - Safari
  
• Chromebooks - Google Chrome

Note: Please make sure that your browsers have been updated to the latest version

HOW TO UPDATE BROWSERS

Update Chrome on PC or Mac:

• Open the Chrome browser
• Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner
• Choose Help > About Google Chrome.

Update Safari on iPad:

• Ensure that your iPad is fully charged and connected to a stable WiFi network.
• Open Settings > General > Software Update.
• Tap the Download and Install option.
• Tap Install.
• If prompted, enter your passcode.

Minimum WiFi speed requirements:

• Download speed: 5Mbps+
• Uplink: 5Mbps+
• To check internet speed, go to https://www.speedtest.net/

Headphone and Camera:

• Wired Headphones (Some Bluetooth headphones are not compatible with Koala GO.)
• Document Cameras can be used.

BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING FACTS

For Microphone Issues:

1. Refresh browser page
2. Check for tabs, windows, or apps that are probably using the microphone thus preventing Koala GO from accessing the microphone.
3. Unplug headset - perhaps headset is not compatible with the device
4. Head on over to device setting and choose different microphone options (If none shows up, contact the team via "Help" button).
5. Check if you or the student is on the latest version of the browser
6. Check if you or the student is using the right supported browser by Koala
7. ​Restart computer

Camera Issues:

1. Refresh browser page
   
2. Check for tabs, windows, or apps that are probably using the camera thus preventing Koala GO from accessing the camera.
   
3. Head on over to device setting and choose different camera options (If none shows up, contact the team via "Help" button).
   
4. Check if you or the student is on the latest version of browser
   
5. Check if you or the student is using the right supported browser by Koala
   
6. Turn off and turn on camera icon
   
7. Restart computer

How to Clear Cache:

• In Chrome

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More (three dots).
3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
6. Click Clear data.

• In Safari
  

1. Go to Settings > Safari
   
2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.​
